A note from James Daniel (GP ’21,’22, ’24, ‘26 ) and Mikki Stier (GP '28):
Dear Bergman Grandparents and Grandfriends,
Most of us know that Bergman Academy is quite devoted to the whole child. It’s not only part of their mission, but also why we’re pleased to see our grandchildren at Bergman. We’re grateful as well that this devotion extends to the whole family – including grandparents and special adults in our student’s lives.
We know this year has been difficult for many reasons. Plus, so many grandparents and grandfriends haven’t been able to be as present in their grandchildren’s lives as they’ve wanted. Bergman has heard this loudly and clearly, and that’s what inspired the Grand Circle!
The Grand Circle is a new and different chance to get involved at Bergman for those near and far. For some grandparents and grandfriends, it may be reading to a class and for others it may mean sharing your expertise in your field of knowledge or helping financially to create opportunities at the school for students.
We’d like to invite you to one of our first Grand Circle Dialogues. These virtual sessions will give you the chance to say hello to the Head of School, Christie Stover, learn more about Bergman, and talk about the future with our new Grand Circle. It’s an informal chance to ask questions and find a way to get involved.
We are planning on events:
Tuesday, April 27, 2021 – 12:00pm, Zoom
Thursday, May 13, 2021 – 5:00pm, Zoom
To attend one of these events and/or share your volunteer interests, please complete this short online form. You may also contact Megan Kassmeier at firstname.lastname@example.org or (515) 274-0453 to register.
We’d love to have you join us!
