Bergman Academy is an independently accredited, state-recognized, secular school offering Preschool through 8th grade. We are located in the heart of Greenwood Park in Des Moines. We emphasize individualized learning, mastery of the Iowa Core Curriculum standards, and the ability to think critically, collaborate effectively, and communicate courageously. We have a team of professionals who have chosen education as a career and a passion, knowing that their work shapes students who will shape our future. Our families and staff value academic excellence while encouraging all students to work toward becoming self-motivated young adults who will be leaders of tomorrow.

We believe that each child should be challenged and supported to reach their own individual potential. The students interact across grade levels academically and socially, which fosters a family atmosphere core to our culture. At Bergman Academy you will join a team of teachers who possess resilience, strong content knowledge, respect for developmentally appropriate practices, a sense of humor, growth mindsets, and a passion for teaching.

If you can see yourself making this type of difference in the lives of young children, we would love to meet you!  Please send a cover letter and resume to our Head of School, Christie Stover at cstover@bergmanacademy.org
